Obituary of Dorothy M. Hawkins

Batavia - Dorothy M. Hawkins, 95, of Batavia, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Batavia.

Dorothy was born June 10, 1923 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Alfred and Ethel (Hermance) Hawkins.

Dorothy was formerly employed at Massey-Ferguson, Trojan Industries and Graham Manufacturing.  She was a lifetime member of St. James Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the ECW.  Dorothy enjoyed gardening, reading, cross stich and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Betty (late John) O'Brien, Linda (Tim) Munger, William Hawkins, Douglas (Pam) Hawkins, Donald (Susan) Hawkins, Paul (Jan) Hawkins, Sandra (late Jim) Fricker, Robin Hawkins, Lesley (Ed) Carney, Patti (Lynn) Dreyfus, Sue Shaw, Michael (Ann) Hawkins and Stacy Hutchins; a sister-in-law, Maxine Hawkins and several great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Dorothy is the sister of the late William, Alfred Jr., Robert, Edward and Milton Hawkins.  

Calling hours are Tuesday (January 15^th) from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia.  Services will be at 11:00 a.m. also on Tuesday (January 15^th) at St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main Street, Batavia.  Dorothy will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia.
