A great light has gone out of the world for me with Denise's passing. Even as a high school student, Denise was mother to us all. We worked together on To Kill a Mockingbird, and she was wonderful!
Good-night, Calpurnia. I'm sorry I made you late, but you killed it!

It is with great sadness to learn of Denise Schaller's death. Someone very wonderful has gone from this earth. For many years the Genesee County Department of Social Services used Denise as a motivational speaker and trainer in many work-related subjects. She was widely known and well respected by everyone in our Department. When we received information about upcoming trainings, speakers, I ALWAYS made sure I signed up for Denise's classes. She was down to earth, approachable, realistic, honest, a good listener, kind and compassionate and had a great sense of humor. She was not judgmental but she made you own your behavior or lack thereof. I always came away from one of her trainings having learned something valuable and with lots to think about. She always shared stories from her life that she had to deal with. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Denise's passing. I will always remember her as a real dynamo who added so much to our department. There must be thousands of Livingston county residents who participated in Denise's workshops. I bet they all have fond memories of her too. Denise was one of these special people you never forget.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Gloria Brand, former Director, Livingston County Workforce Development Department

My thoughts and prayers for comfort, strength, and peace for the family and friends of our beloved Denise. Her special smile and laugh will be missed. Haven’t seen Denise in years, but she made a real impact on my life. I am glad the Lord placed her at Notre Dame, she was a highly esteemed and loved member of our class. Carry on, my friend, kiss the face of Jesus, who gave us the gift of eternal life. The work that He ordained for you is done. I won’t say “goodbye”....but “see ya later”. Enjoy paradise my sister...you earned it!

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of my wonderful friend amd colleague Denise. Please know that she will be so missed and that she lives on in so many of the lives she touched. And the work they do with children and families She was not just a friend, but a wonderful caring human being to many of us working in sometimes terribly challenging and emotionally draining situations. I always looked forward to her positive energy, smile and suggestions. She was one of the best professional trainers that I have ever met.
