Gordie was the "Mayor" of Park Apartments, the go to person for finding out where law enforcement and first responders were headed towards, or what was the local news. He loved the scanner & sharing the headlines. He was a night owl watching his TV shows and waiting for the papers to be delivered. He probably had the most tanned legs in the City of Batavia, enjoying the outside and scooting with his hat on to Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart & lunch next door with his friends at Havenwood. You could set your watch by him that he be in route by 11-11:15 during the week. Extra milks from lunch he enjoyed collecting. He was a planner, and determined to complete his mission, strong willed. Alex's Place was a favorite, especially after a doctor's appointment. He liked things just right and his apartment reflected this being so neat and organized & stocked up.
God called him home last Thursday, free from the challenges he endured, able to stand, walk, and be with his loving wife Sharon. My condolences and prayers for peace and comfort.
